- The People’s CDC is a great resource. Their Weather Reports keep you up-to-date on current conditions and developments, and their resources are great too. Just to list a few:
- The John Snow Project has explainers on the dangers of Covid and the need to act, backed up by expert citations.
- /r/Masks4All is home to tons of experts on masks and related topics. For a guide on how to find the right mask for you, see their wiki.
- CleanAirCrew has lots of information on ventilation and filtration, including the definitive guide on Corsi-Rosenthal boxes.
- Pandemic Mitigation Collaborative, led by Mike Hoerger of Tulane University, produces forecasts based on wastewater data.
- Covid Advocacy Initiative maintains a directory of advocacy groups in the US and Canada, including mask blocs that work to get masks to people who need them.
- COVID Action Map is a map of Covid action groups, including mask blocs, worldwide.
- The microCOVID Project is a calculator that models the risk of contracting COVID in various situations. Note that the model was last updated in January 2022, so I would treat the numbers with some caution, but it’s useful as a way of understanding how layering mitigations works. I’m also a fan of their mask blog, which includes coverage of P100 elastomeric respirators.
